Episode Synopsis "Juneteenth"
Hi everyone! Juneteenth is now a national holiday that was passed by the Senate on June 17th, 2021. It's a holiday that's been celebrated by the African American community for 156 years yet is only now being nationally recognized. It should be an important day for remembrance for All Americans for it was the day slaves in Texas were freed although the emancipation proclamation by then president Abraham Lincoln freed slaves several years prior. Hopefully you can receive some education and understanding through our podcast. Enjoy!
